Shaping the Future of Health Prioritization: Strategies for Sustainable Solutions
A major public health threat has just passed, but many more are likely around the corner. Climate change, geopolitical conflict, low economic growth, financial constraints, and novel healthcare technologies all pose challenges for struggling healthcare systems. Meanwhile, the push to provide universal health care and reach the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals continues. A comprehensive, holistic approach to health prioritization is therefore needed to ensure resilience and sustainable solutions for the better health of all.
Â
The 14th Conference of the International Society for Priorities in Health (ISPH) will explore the future of health prioritization around the world. What lessons can be learned from different countries’ experiences and innovations in allocating resources for health? What is needed within health care systems and beyond so they can be sustainable and able to withstand new challenges and threats? The Priorities 2024 Conference marks the first time the Biennial Conference of the International Society for Priorities in Health will take place in Asia.Â
It is hosted by the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), Ministry of Public Health, Thailand, and in collaboration with The International Society for Priorities in Health (ISPH).
